Anthropic finds Claude users increasingly delegate long-running agentic work

Anthropic's Economic Index reported that Claude Code and Cowork sessions increasingly consist of long-running agentic tasks. In a linked survey of about 9,700 nonrepresentative Claude users, more automated users expected AI to take on more tasks but were also more optimistic about pay, job security, and meaning; over 35% expected AI could do most of their work within a year.
