Claude Code closes more of the software loop with auto-fix and auto-merge
Anthropic updated Claude Code desktop to view running applications, read console logs, keep iterating, review its own diffs, monitor pull requests, attempt fixes when CI fails, and optionally merge after checks pass. Sessions could move among CLI, desktop, cloud, and mobile interfaces.

Why it moved the index
Magnitude 61: observing runtime output, iterating, reviewing changes, fixing CI, and merging after checks closes several previously human-mediated stages of software production. Confidence 70: the primary release directly documents the optional mechanisms and human-visible controls, while realized displacement and error rates are not reported.
