Hermes ships an autonomous curator for its own skills and memory loop
Hermes Agent v0.12.0 added a background Curator that periodically grades, consolidates, and prunes the agent's skill library and writes audit reports. Its separate review process also decides after each turn what memories or skills to save or update, while being restricted to memory and skill tools with protections for pinned and bundled skills.

Why it moved the index
Magnitude 62: this is a concrete bounded self-maintenance loop in which an agent revises the reusable skills and memories that shape later work, making limited recursive workflow improvement more practical. Confidence 64: the signed release precisely documents the mechanism, schedule, reports, and restrictions, but it does not demonstrate open-ended capability gain and later issue reports showed operational risks around automated skill changes.
